    Reporting to the Director of Content, the Deputy Editor is responsible for editing content and concepting engaging and creative stories across 10+ Burberry social platforms,, email, gaming, Burberry Beauty, the Burberry App and UX copy.


    The Deputy Editor will work closely with the creative media department, brand experience team, product and digital marketing leads, events and beauty teams to create compelling campaign narratives and storytelling. Reporting to and working with the Director of Content ensuring the most creative, consistent and engaging daily and weekly content is showcased across each platform.


    Social media:

    Review, edit and be accountable for all social media copy written by the social media writer – including planned content, large scale social innovations and reactive content.


    React to Burberry and cultural events, working quickly and on some weekends and evenings to deliver content.



    Create / edit and be accountable for all Burberry own-channel beauty copy, managing beauty freelance writers and working closely with our licensing partners (COTY BEAUTY) to review all content created by them – ensuring consistency and correct TOV.

    Brief all home page designs – working to align marketing, creative and merchandising priorities. Brief writers and edit all brand

    Edit all landing page copy and concept, review and create engaging, clear and innovative experiences, collaborating with digital designers and marketing teams to establish key stories.


    The ideal candidate will have 8+ years writing experience and a solid knowledge of editing across multiple platforms – including social media channels such as Instagram, Line and We Chat, managing a variety of projects and deadlines at once. You will be confident in presenting ideas and concepts to senior stakeholders and a quick problem solver, able to switch seamlessly from reviewing or concepting editorial content for a new product launch on to developing the tone of voice for a new beauty campaign, or social launch.
