Job Description
  • MAIN PURPOSE



     



    Enhance the image of Cartier whilst promoting the brand on all channels throughout the regional media landscape with the responsibility of building a “Friends of the Maison” community with celebrities, influencers and key opinion leaders in close collaboration with central teams in Paris who set the overall strategy.



     



    Reporting directly to the Head of Communications, working on a day to day with the Press Manager, in close relationship with the marketing, events and media department + Cartier HQ Press and Edition departments in Paris.



     



    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES



     



    Key Responsibility 1: Participate In The Definition And Implementation Of The Press And Celebrities Strategy



     




    • Co-plan and implement a yearly celebrities strategy for the region and by market. Implement a press plan highlighting our talent community combined with product focus and local activations to ensure the right and optimized visibility

    • Identify a varied talents community to activate all along the year (socialites, actresses, models, designers, established or rising) in line with the brand image.

    • Follow and inform internal teams of any press/image related initiatives from competitors

    • Work in close collaboration with strategic markets as China, US, France and UK to leverage contacts and contracts in addition to central teams



     



    Key Responsibility 2: Develop Relationships With Key Partners To Optimize And Secure Cartier’s Visibility



     




    • Build and develop strong contacts with key agents, stylists, bloggers, local and international in a mix of mainstream and cutting edge universes.

    • Build a social calendar key events to optimize visibility through dressings

    • Develop close relationships with fashion journalists to leverage our talents community visibility on social pages / main features in close collaboration with the Press and Media manager



     



    Key Responsibility 3: Structure, Develop and Animate A “Friends Of The Maison” Community



     




    • Identify and build a strong and evolving network through close relationships with international / local celebrities, micro-influencers and friends of the Maison in various tiers with paid contracts and relationship lead activations who fit the Cartier brand

    • Nourish and entertain this opinion leaders’ community through Cartier local and international events, retail activations in close collaboration with central teams.

    • Coordinate, arrange and host lunches and dinners in order to enhance network



     



    Key Responsibility 4: Follow Administration Processes And Monitor Budget



     




    • Co-responsible for press budget reporting and managing activity within budget

    • Monitor and optimize photoshootings and dressings procedures within budget

    • Build and monitor the costing of press coverage on a yearly basis



     



    PR Relations



     




    • Compile and manage list of key influencers and celebrities to attend Cartier events; High Jewellery events, Cartier corporate events (Fondation Cartier, Cartier Women Initiative Awards…), product launches events and local events

    • Organise influencers and celebrities trips, accompanying them, building full itinerary and following up to maximise coverage opportunities

    • Attend briefings and meetings in both Paris and Geneva



     



    Reporting, Administration and Budget



     




    • Reports pre/post influencers and celebrities’ activations reporting DMR visibility with qualitative comments and consolidating coverage

    • Liaise with Cartier boutiques Richemont shared services direction to plan PR activities following security and logistics processes

    • Plan and lead dressings for talents following procedures

    • Monitor budget



     



    Geographical Area



     




    • Includes 8 countries: UAE (Dubai & Abu Dhabi)- Kuwait – Qatar – Bahrain – Lebanon –KSA.



     



     



    PERSON SPECIFICATION 



     




    • 4 to 5 years experience of working with fashion or luxury brands (in-house or agency).  Demonstrates thorough understanding of the luxury industry

    • Arabic speaker

    • Highly connected in the region

    • Excellent relationship building skills

    • Degree level education with writing skills

    • Spoken French an asset (meetings in Paris HQ for up to one month)

    • Attention to detail and organisational skills are important

    • Busy office, therefore, calm but energetic disposition is required

    • Excellent communication skills (relationship with press and VIPs), discreet and professional

    • Required experience in digital social media
