Job Description


Protect and support Danone’s  business, innovations and assets by designing and implementing the optimal legal and compliance framework, according to country regulations, Company policies and CBU specific needs.

Build awareness of Laws and Danone policies related to products and corporate matters – Ensuring their application within Danone and by third parties

Main responsibilities



•Manage, animate, lead, and help grow and empower a team of experts in legal affairs & compliance


LEGAL : Manage the legal function as a whole and the articulation with corporate policies in cluster. Determine the best sustainable legal strategy and means to fulfil business needs

•Analyse legal risks & opportunities for Company Law, Competition Law & Anti-trust and environment law and build legal strategies to ensure business growth

•Lead the management of key disputes, crisis, conflicts with consumers, customers authorities, competitors or other stakeholders

•Conduct legal watch and ensure comprehensive and on-going knowledge of emerging trends and subjects that have potential to impact the CBU / cluster

•Implement guidelines and policies for Company Law, Competition Law & Anti-trust and environment law that reduce legal risk and protect the assets of each cluster’s CBU

•Manage Business Contracts

•Provide legal expertise on Sales & Distribution

•Provide real estate legal expertise


BUSINESS CONDUCT POLICY (competition and antitrust, anti-bribery and anti-money laundering, data-privacy and confidentiality, Code of conduct and conflicts of interests, ethics...)

•Deploy at local level Global Corporate Compliance programs and processes

•Anticipate and evaluate emerging compliance trends and seek for continuous improvement

•Identify potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk and develop/implement corrective action plans



•Communicate on the DIALERT Process

•Contribute to respond to alleged violations of rules, regulations, policies or procedures

•Lead action plan for compliance violations (investigation, resolution…)



•Deploy with the support of Compliance WBS Team with an effective compliance training program



•Contribute to internal compliance audits to identify areas of vulnerability and risk

All legal activities management (contracts, legal disputes…)

Compliance to all regulations related to our business (food safety, allegations, communication claims)

Maintain high level of expertise & empowerment in General Secretary team

One Danone Voice local activation & consistency

Audit of compliance policies

Implementation of effective compliance training for all Danoners

Cluster compliance strategy

Revision of policies and procedures, in line with Company guidelines and local regulation

Compliance standards implementation

Compliance violations monitoring / investigation (DIALERT) and action plan implementation

Basic requirements

Legal & compliance expertise

Significant management experience

Language spoken:  Arabic and fluent English

Years of experience : 6 to 8 years of experience
