    The Pricing and Patient Access Manager will be a crucial part of a team that determines Pricing and Access strategies for Lilly’s portfolio.You will be reporting to the Sr. Pricing Manager, with a dotted line reporting relationship with the Pricing, Reimbursement and Access (PRA) Leader, and be responsible for providing analysis to optimize access opportunities for Lilly Canada.

    1. Strategic Pricing – 50%

    Strategic Pricing and Access
    • Collaborate with Marketing, Patient Access and Finance to provide critical quantitative inputs for pricing strategies
    • Develop analyses to inform public and private payer reimbursement decisions
    • Provide guidance to Patient Access team on business cases and negotiation strategies

    Canadian Pricing Regulation Management (PMPRB)
    • Assist with interpreting PMPRB regulations, resolving investigations and compiling semi-annual PMPRB reporting
    • Understand the business impact of proposed revisions to PMPRB regulations and guidelines; help in managing the transition to new regime

    Financial Operations
    • Assist the rebate accruals process, ensuring timely and accurate accounting and reporting and rebate accrual true-up process
    • Oversee rebate invoice payment process for select products

    1. Price, Reimbursement & Access – 50%

    PRA Strategy
    • Leader of the PRA strategy for assigned products, taking full ownership of the strategy development process, utilizing collaborative, cross-functional mechanisms, deep understanding of customer/HTA needs as well as the needs and the realities of the business.
    • Owner and advocate of the PRA strategy ensuring alignment and support across functions, including marketing, sales, and the executive Pricing Committee.
    • Quarterback the development of the rationale and supporting evidence that form the basis of the PRA strategy for our promoted and pipeline products, leveraging input from a dynamic team of cross functional partners (Global PRA/ Health Outcomes, Medical, Marketing, field Patient Access Team).

    Comprehensive Value Dossiers (Submissions)
    • Own the development and execution of best in class value dossiers (submissions) to national and/or regional HTA bodies and/or payers (public and private) as well as the PMPRB.
    • Lead the planning and development of sound health economic arguments including robust pharmacoeconomic modeling, to produce quality health economic data.
    • Lead the planning, development and delivery of robust provincial BIAs

    Pricing and Contracting
    • Shape and implement the overall brand Product Listing Agreement (PLA) strategy, working in close partnership with cross-functional partners including the field based Patient Access team, balancing payer needs with customer, stakeholder and business needs.
    • Build negotiation strategies in partnership with field based Patient Access team, negotiation strategies for PLAs with individual provincial payers, as well as negotiating entities such as the pan Canadian Pharmaceutical Alliance (pCPA).
    • Champion business cases supporting PLA structures/offerings and prices through affiliate and global approval processes.
    • Lead the internal launch price approval process, and develop and execute pricing submissions and/or re-submissions to the PMPRB.

    • Bachelors’ Degree or equivalent (MBA or MSc in Finance is preferred)
    • Keen interest in pursuing a career in pharmaceutical industry
    • Able to think critically, innovatively and possess strong business acumen
    • Excellent quantitative technical ability, highly capable in Microsoft Excel, and attention to detail
    • Strong written and oral communication skills
    • Proven problem solving skills
    • Bias for action and proven ability to influence without authority

    Additional Skills/Preferences:
    • Five years of experience in Canadian pharmaceutical industry
    • Health sciences background
    • Action-oriented and demonstrated by managing complex projects in a fast-paced environment with changing and/or competing priorities
    • Understanding of PMPRB regulations, health technology assessment, health economic methodologies, and Canadian market access environment
    • Bilingual (English / French
