    We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Training Training & Competency Advisor to join our team. 


    In this role, you will take responsibility for managing and maintaining our employees’ competency assesments and profiles in a number of different databases, as well as working with the Competency Manager in the coordination and scheduling of various training courses that are run throughout the year.


    Key Responsibilities for This Role Include:

    • Create and maintain all Authorised Engineering Organisation (AEO) self-assessment matrices for each discipline within Alstom

    • Monitor, maintain and update our Competency Register

    • Work with employees to make sure their applications and profiles remain up to date so they are able to perform the required work

    • Work with external assessors to make sure competency assessments take place when required and follow through to completion

    • Assist with all coordination and communication for training events across Australia

    • Update and build Training and Competency process, procedures and guides

    Qualifications, Skills and Experience Required Includes:

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to talk to people at all levels within the organisation

    • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline would be an advantage however not essential

    • Strong computer literacy particularly with databases and Microsoft Word and Excel

    • Ability to handle sensitive information and treat it confidentially

    • Reliable with a positive attitude and enthusiasm to learn and contribute

    • Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as part of a team
